Huan's Tai Chi is founded in July 8th , 2002 in Cambridge by chief instructor Huan Zhang. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to our class. We offer a friendly, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, coupled with a slow and easy pace teaching method and give detailed instruction to each individual.

Our chief instructor Huan Zhang is a teacher with an extraordinary background, who began studying Chinese martial arts in 1982. He has learned Tai Chi Chuan and other martial arts forms from his father, Master Zhang, Lu Ping, Grandmaster Cai, Hong Xiang, and Master Xie, Bin Can. He has taught classes in both China and United States. He has assisted his teachers in the instruction of Tai Chi classes since 1989. Huan's articles have been featured in Tai Chi International Magazine, and his first book "Beyond the Tai Chi footprint" was published in 2006.

I highly recommend Tai Chi and other Chinese martial arts classes taught by Zhang Huan. Huan learned his art from some of the most accomplished Chinese Martial Artists of our time including his father, my teacher, the late Zhang Lu Ping. Huan is bright, dedicated, and truly capable of teaching students on any level.

Huan is a gem! It doesn't matter what forms you work on with him (I want to learn all of them) --just get into one of his classes! You'll learn as much from just watching him move as from what he tells you. Training with him is a rare opportunity.

I have trained in the martial arts for over 30 years. I am a 6th degree black belt in a very traditional Okinawan style of karate. Along with the many great karate teachers with whom I have been fortunate enough to train, I have also studied with some remarkable teachers from other disciplines. In 1993 and again in 1994, I was privileged to study Yang Style Taijiquan with Master Zhang Lu Ping. My training with Master Zhang began to add real depth to my martial practice. Sadly, Master Zhang passed away in 1998. Fortunately for the art of Taijiquan (and for me), Master Zhang taught the art to his son, Huan. I began to train with Huan in 2000. His vast knowledge of this art and his ability to share it with his students are splendid. His insights into Taijiquan and his level of skill are superb. As he continues to fine-tune my most humble attempt at this art, my appreciation for his talent continues to grow. True quality instruction in the martial arts can be difficult to find. Zhang Huan is truly a quality martial artist.
